BIBLE WAY BAPTIST CHURCH

Our Church
Bible Way Baptist Church has been serving the Milton community since 1986. We have been in our current location since 1996. Our pastor is William B. Wright. He is the third pastor to serve the members of Bible Way and has served the church for twenty-four years.
Bible Way is a fundamental, independent, King James Bible-believing church.
We have an exciting, growing church with much to offer.  We have active young adults and teen ministries. We have discipleship training classes for youth through adults.  We serve in several outreach ministries, including the monthly support of over forty missionaries. Our pastor is the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Association Chaplain along with two others in the church who assist in his Chaplain duties (Rev. James Cook and Chaplain Jim Bonoyer).  Pastor Wright is also a member of a local southern gospel group called "Redeemed."  Bible Way organizes and holds the Annual National Day of Prayer Observance on the fourth Thursday of May on the Milton Courthouse lawn.

Pastor William B. Wright

Pastor William (Bill) Wright was born on July 11, 1955, in La Follette, TN. Most of his early life was spent in Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan. In his fifth grade of school, his family settled near Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Miamisburg (OH) High School in 1973. He met his wife, Betty, in Dayton; they married in 1974.

He surrendered to the ministry in March of 1978, while working for the City of Dayton Traffic Engineering Division and followed the Lord’s leading to attend the Pensacola Bible Institute, graduating with a Bachelors of Divinity degree in 1981. Upon graduation, the Wrights moved to Knoxville, TN, to serve at Temple Baptist Church of Fountain City under Pastor Charles Lawson. While at Temple, Pastor Wright taught in the Christian school, the evening Bible Institute, served in the music ministry, and led the youth.

In 1984, he and his family returned to Pensacola, re-entering the work force in land surveying and civil engineering, the career he had established while attending Bible college. He and his family were active members of several baptist churches until his call to accept the pastorate of Bible Way in August of 1993.

Under his leadership over the past twenty-four years, the church has expanded its missions program to help support over forty domestic and foreign ministries and to increase community outreach through various ministries, such as the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Association Chaplaincy and sponsoring the annual National Day of Prayer observance on the Milton, FL, courthouse lawn on the first Thursday of May each year.

The church has also invested itself in ministries in Malawi, Africa, by helping to establish Bible Way Baptist Ministries of Africa (BWBMA) under the leadership of national evangelist Rackson Kaiwe. BWBMA established Bible Way Baptist Church and Bible Conference Center in Njuli and has also established a church in Mbulumbuzi, where building construction of a new church is now underway. BWBMA has expanded into church planting in Phalombe, near Malawi’s border with Mozambique, to serve the people of that nation as well as those in the surrounding villages within Malawi. BWBMA has recently purchased a church building in Phalombe.

Pastor Wright and Betty have three children: Kim, William, Jr., and Sarah. William, Jr. went home to be with the Lord at his birth in 1982. Kim has two daughters- Madison (20) and Olivia (19). Sarah and her husband, Chad, have one son, Caleb (13) all of whom are active members of Bible Way.

A Bit About Us

OUR PURPOSE

The two-fold purpose of our local, Bible-believing church is to reach the lost for Christ and to build up the saints.  Here at Bible Way, we preach and teach the Word of God with the goal of reaching those in our community who have need of a Savior, a friend, and a hope of a better life through Christ.

We promote Godly worship and fellowship and actively attempt to show a unity among our people that only comes through the knowledge of a Savior that gives us love for one another.  God is blessing our church; and we are excited about what He is doing and where He is leading.

We are a missions-minded church, presently supporting over forty domestic and foreign mission projects in both the United States and over a dozen foreign countries through our Faith Promise Missions program.
