BIBLE WAY BAPTIST CHURCH
Bible Way Baptist Church has been serving the Milton community since 1986. We have been in our current location since 1996. Our pastor is William B. Wright. He is the third pastor to serve the members of Bible Way and has served the church for twenty-four years.
Bible Way is a fundamental, independent, King James Bible-believing church.
We have an exciting, growing church with much to offer. We have active young adults and teen ministries. We have discipleship training classes for youth through adults. We serve in several outreach ministries, including the monthly support of over forty missionaries. Our pastor is the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Association Chaplain along with two others in the church who assist in his Chaplain duties (Rev. James Cook and Chaplain Jim Bonoyer). Pastor Wright is also a member of a local southern gospel group called "Redeemed." Bible Way organizes and holds the Annual National Day of Prayer Observance on the fourth Thursday of May on the Milton Courthouse lawn.
Pastor Bill Wright
Pastor William B. Wright
Pastor William (Bill) Wright was born on July 11, 1955, in La Follette, TN. Most of his early life was spent in Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan. In his fifth grade of school, his family settled near Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Miamisburg (OH) High School in 1973. He met his wife, Betty, in Dayton; they married in 1974.
He surrendered to the ministry in March of 1978, while working for the City of Dayton Traffic Engineering Division and followed the Lord’s leading to attend the Pensacola Bible Institute, graduating with a Bachelors of Divinity degree in 1981. Upon graduation, the Wrights moved to Knoxville, TN, to serve at Temple Baptist Church of Fountain City under Pastor Charles Lawson. While at Temple, Pastor Wright taught in the Christian school, the evening Bible Institute, served in the music ministry, and led the youth.
In 1984, he and his family returned to Pensacola, re-entering the work force in land surveying and civil engineering, the career he had established while attending Bible college. He and his family were active members of several baptist churches until his call to accept the pastorate of Bible Way in August of 1993.
Under his leadership over the past twenty-four years, the church has expanded its missions program to help support over forty domestic and foreign ministries and to increase community outreach through various ministries, such as the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Association Chaplaincy and sponsoring the annual National Day of Prayer observance on the Milton, FL, courthouse lawn on the first Thursday of May each year.
The church has also invested itself in ministries in Malawi, Africa, by helping to establish Bible Way Baptist Ministries of Africa (BWBMA) under the leadership of national evangelist Rackson Kaiwe. BWBMA established Bible Way Baptist Church and Bible Conference Center in Njuli and has also established a church in Mbulumbuzi, where building construction of a new church is now underway. BWBMA has expanded into church planting in Phalombe, near Malawi’s border with Mozambique, to serve the people of that nation as well as those in the surrounding villages within Malawi. BWBMA has recently purchased a church building in Phalombe.
Pastor Wright and Betty have three children: Kim, William, Jr., and Sarah. William, Jr. went home to be with the Lord at his birth in 1982. Kim has two daughters- Madison (20) and Olivia (19). Sarah and her husband, Chad, have one son, Caleb (13) all of whom are active members of Bible Way.

This is your Service Description. Use this space to explain this service in more detail.
Bible Way Baptist Ministries Malawi C. Africa
Bible Way Baptist Ministries Malawi C. Africa is under the oversight of Bible Way Baptist Church pastored by William B. Wright and directed by W. Charles Miller.
Late in 2005, several members of BWBC, including the pastor, were called to survey a work brought to their attention by a young family who was on deputation for a work in that country. After considerable prayer and discussion, it was decided a 10-day trip was in order. Funds were raised and tickets were purchased. After great difficulty in travel and 30 hours later, we arrived in Malawi tired but full of faith and excitement to see what the Lord had done and was doing in that little country. After a jam packed tour of the works going on in the south half of Malawi, we were overwhelmed with the opportunities the Lord had presented us. We left for home at the end of that ten days with a clearer picture of what might be in store for us.
During subsequent years, W. Charles Miller was called to the field of work in Malawi, and in 2008-2009, the beginning of a new and independent Baptist work was started in an area located near a trading center in Njuli, Malawi near the city of Blantyre. Land was obtained through the good efforts of the village Chief. Through the very hard work of Rackson Kaiwe, Evangelist/Pastor, all the proper and legal forms and paperwork needed to become a government approved ministry was completed. Chuck and Pastor Rackson formed a deep and abiding love for each other and the work that the Lord had called them to do. It is a perfect team.
In 2009, a small grass and pole church was erected and dedicated to the ministry of service to the Lord. Many weeks of soul winning and one on one teaching for our first formal Sunday worship was planned. The appropriate local dignitaries were invited. They accepted and attended the first worship service of Bible Way Baptist Church. Over 60 villagers and the Chief were in attendance. In 2010, Pastor Kaiwe came to America for three months and along with Bro. Miller visited several churches in hope of garnering support for the work. These visits were reasonably successful but much was left for the Lord to do in the hearts of His people.
2010 was a very good year as through the abundance of donations we were to start a building project that would seat 300 members and have an overflow area in the back of the building to seat 100 more in chairs or on the floor.
The years 2010-2014 were years of hard work by all involved with several more ministries being added to the local work. A hospital ministry, a visitation/Bible study ministry, a church planting ministry, a Saturday village church service ministry, a prison ministry are just a few of the dozen ministries Bible Way Baptist Njuli is now committed to. Through the work of the church, a church was planted in a trading center in an area 6 miles west of Njuli called Mbulumbuzi, and in a short time, a small grass and pole church building was put up with a small membership of about 6-8 families. Mbulumbuzi is in the middle of a Muslim strong hold. In 2014, a van was purchased, and the ministry was on wheels and moving forward. Also in 2014, the Njuli Church received a Macedonian call from Mozambique, and that call has been answered with the blessing of the Lord. Many trips have been made, and many souls have claimed the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.
While participating in the 2015 third annual Bible conference held at the Njuli church, plans were being formulated for another visit to the states for Pastor Rackson and his wife Grace. This plan came to fruition in mid-2016 only after the birth of their first daughter named Rejoice. Their two sons now have real competition…the most beautiful baby girl yet seen. The family arrived July 5th, and stayed with the Miller family for three months. The work never slowed down. During the Kaiwe’s stay many, many churches who knew of the Malawi work requested a visit and update. Every weekend was filled, and over a dozen churches, Bible classes, local outreach programs were presented and updated. Rejoice captured the hearts of many and was a blessing to have along on every mile of the trip of which there were over five thousand. Friends were made, love offerings were in profusion, and new support was picked up for the work. Final funds were secured for a 2-ton lory, which was ordered from Japan and shipped to Malawi. It was waiting for Pastor Rackson on his return in September. One worry shared by the ministry was the work in Mozambique and what was the next move. The Lord had taken care of that without our input. A local chief in Phalombe just inside the border of Malawi/Mozambique let the men of the Njuli church come there. He was so pleased with the visits, church services, and studies and how Njuli helped his village with food during the famine. He is going to deed us a building that used to be a church and a fair tract of land to be used by Bible Way Baptist Ministries at no cost with paper work to be completed when Pastor Rackson next visits. Along with the van and the lorry, 12 bicycles have been added to the mobility of the church which has enabled us to increase visitations, Bible studies, and soul winning to the glory of the Lord.
2017 is off to a great start. A fired brick building with steel roof has been built and replaces the grass building the people have been using for several years. Weather and the constant harassment by the Muslims really necessitated a strong building. Plans are underway for a visit to Malawi this year by Pastor Wright of BWBC and several pastors and others interested.
By the numbers:
Njuli BC membership 400
Mbulumbuzi BC membership 45
Phalombe BC 90
Mozambique work: dozens of local pastors presented the knowledge of the truth of God’s Word and several churches were fortified and grounded in Christ’s teachings.

A Bit About Us
The two-fold purpose of our local, Bible-believing church is to reach the lost for Christ and to build up the saints. Here at Bible Way, we preach and teach the Word of God with the goal of reaching those in our community who have need of a Savior, a friend, and a hope of a better life through Christ.
We promote Godly worship and fellowship and actively attempt to show a unity among our people that only comes through the knowledge of a Savior that gives us love for one another. God is blessing our church; and we are excited about what He is doing and where He is leading.
We are a missions-minded church, presently supporting over forty domestic and foreign mission projects in both the United States and over a dozen foreign countries through our Faith Promise Missions program.
